GVR and S Womens Degree College, Guntur was established in the year 1993 the college was founded by Dr. S. Lakshmi. It is affiliated to Acharya Nagarjuna University (ANU). Institute offers Degree courses including 6 UG course. These programs are delivered by highly experienced faculty. G.V.R. and S. Degree College for Women present collection of courses like B.Sc., B.Com and Science, Accounting & Commerce programs. Admission and same is done on the basis of merit of the qualifying exam.
The college comes with an uncompromising commitment. It aims to achieve specific, measurable, observable and quantifiable results among all aspirants/students, because the college has a vision to provide value based education to young minds and provide a dynamic learning environment. Student should have passed Standard XII Examination conducted by the State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary education, For the remaining seats students passing XII std. from other Junior colleges are considered on Merit.

GVR and S Womens Degree College, Guntur and Management Studies Placements have got a very good reputation when it comes to its peers. The placements in Academic year 2024 witnessed the highest CTC of INR 30 LPA extended to Bachelor of Management Studies students. Consultancy and FMCG domains dominated the placements, rendering the highest number of offers in 2024.
Scholarships and prizes are awarded on the basis of marks at the examinations of the preceding academic year during which the applicant was a student of the college. If a student discontinues his/her studies the scholarship may not be awarded or it may be discontinued.
